Basic different of Indian and Western Music is, way of playing . If it will be described by one line, that one is Melodic(Indian) and another is Harmonic(Western). There are some great musician and can said the father of western Music.

Johann Sebastian Bach ( AD1685-AD1750 from germany)father of western music in music.

Ludwig van Beethoven(AD1770-AD1827 from germany) is known as father of  western classical music.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (27 January 1756 – 5 December 1791 from Austria) was famous for western Classical music.

Arnold Schoenberg (AD1874-AD1951from Austria)is known as father of  western Modern music.

Purandara Dasa is often considered as the Father of Carnatic/ Karnatak Music.
